Member Biography

Honorable Kenson Joel Casimir represents Gros Islet constituency in the House of Assembly for the Saint Lucia Labour Party. He is currently serving as Minister for Youth Development and Sports.

Early life and education

Kenson graduated from Leon Hess Comprehensive. With the support of his then Parliamentary Representative Honorable Mario Michel, Kenson was able to secure a scholarship and attended the Sir Arthur Lewis Community college where he excelled and served as Student Council president. He now holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with Honours from Grambling State University and a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication from the University of Texas. He also pursued several certification programs in India.

Career

Kenson taught at the Gros Islet Infant and Primary schools and the University of the West Indies, Saint Lucia campus.
