Member Biography

The Honorable Joachim Andre Henry represents Castries South East constituency in the House of Assembly for the Saint Lucia Labour Party. He is currently serving as Minister for Equity, Social Justice, and Empowerment.

Early life and education

Joachim holds a Diploma in Quantity Surveying from the College of Arts Science and Technology (CAST), a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Technology, and a Master’s of Science degree in Quantity Surveying from South Bank University of London.

Career

Mr. Henry accumulated almost a decade of experience working as the Executive Director at the Saint Lucia Social Development Fund (SSDF) and is a current Director of Edah Inc., a construction engineering and management company involved in building construction and loss adjustment activities.

Joachim served as Senator and Leader of Opposition Business in the Saint Lucia Senate from 2016 – 2020.
